Fear Not

It’s over! Screamed the voice in my head, in a moment of dread.
The future lost, dreams forgot, emotions a wash, in the silence.
It’s over! My heart aches for a love lost, in a broken promise.
Time passed year after year, without progression, never as one.
It’s over! My tears like autumn leaves fall, leaving me barren.
It is the winter of my life; Cold, I lay dormant, awaiting Spring.
Breathe... I feel the sun on my face, and the clouds are in motion.
It rains and I am baptised. I stretch and reach upward to new heights.
Breathe ...The darkness like a heavy weight on my soul, has lifted.
I am free. Chains of a life confined to restrictions and doubts are broken.
Breathe ... The spirit of life now controls me, and daily I am in awe.
Doors open to a path unknown, yet I am not afraid, I took that leap of faith.
